Pre and Post Cancer Surgery Protocols

For both pre and post-cancer surgery, NeoGenesis S²RM® products provide a natural approach to healing called “systems therapeutics”. Injured or damaged tissue need the molecules that were present when the tissue was healthy to be returned to the skin. Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, Urea and Collagen make up the skin, and are just some of the molecules involved in this process. They are also responsible for healing and maintaining the new healthy tissue. Providing the proper atmosphere to heal the wounded area quickly will minimize the chances of scarring or other unwanted side effects.

Surgery to remove cancerous tissue, whether exploratory, preventive, or more invasive, can take two weeks or longer and leave scars. Surgery wounds can take longer if you have a medical condition or are taking certain medications, such as steroids.

Before any surgery, it is important to prepare the skin for the procedure.  Gently cleanse the area with the NeoGenesis Cleanser, followed by Recovery.  Finish with Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream to hydrate and support the skin’s barrier.

Pre-cancer surgery Protocol; twice daily 

  1. Gently cleanse the skin with the NeoGenesis Cleanser
  2. Apply NeoGenesis Recovery serum to the site of the upcoming surgery
  3. Apply Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream
  4. When applicable, protect the skin with chemical free sunscreen

After surgery, as directed by your health care professional, continue the use of Cleanser, Recovery, and Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream to soothe and support the skin.  Moisturizing Mist will provide soothing relief throughout the day and may be used as needed.  Keeping the skin in a hydrated and protected state will help to minimize redness, irritation, discomfort and the chance of scarring will be minimized with the consistent use of these products.

Post-cancer surgery Protocol; twice daily until healing is complete

  1. Gently cleanse the skin with the NeoGenesis Cleanser
  2. Apply NeoGenesis Recovery serum to the site of the surgery
  3. Apply NeoGenesis Skin Serum over Recovery for additional benefits
  4. Follow with Barrier Renewal Cream
  5. When applicable, protect the skin with chemical free sunscreen
